“Can Pandas be Koalas too?” is deals with a very personal and sensitive topic around identity, diversity, and self-acceptance. The client wanted to reflect this sensitivity and subtle emotions, without overwhelming the reader with too many elements on the page.
We also picked our inspirations from modern and old surreal art, that included a lot of blues, negative space and soft edges.
We decided to go with a digital watercolor brush.
